Joy Muir is a British artist working in ceramics and acrylics, creating stylized landscapes and floral studies that reflect her deep connection to nature and place. Originally trained in London, Joy developed her artistic practice in an urban environment before relocating to the rural south of Spain, where the Andalusian light and landscape now infuse her work.
Her ceramics often echo organic forms, with textures and glazes that feel weathered by time and touch. In her acrylic paintings, bold colour and fluid line merge to capture the emotional essence of fields, flowers, and open skies, rendered not as they are, but as they are felt.
Now based in the quiet village of Fuentes del Conde, Córdoba, Joy draws inspiration from her surroundings: olive groves, wildflowers, crumbling stone walls, and the ever-changing horizon. Her work is both meditative and expressive, a visual journal of rootedness and transformation.
