Matty Bradley
La principal inspiración de mi trabajo proviene de la naturaleza y sus
elementos. En particular, la forma en que la luz se refleja en el agua. La
superficie inquieta del mar me fascina. Al no poder vivir junto al mar he
encontrado un hogar sobre el hermoso lago de Iznajar, que está en
constante cambio. Un día turquesa y otro plata.
En los últimos años he descubierto el amor por la cerámica y estoy
explorando simples formas orgánicas principalmente en porcelana.
The main inspiration for my work comes from nature and its elements.
In particular the way light reflects on water. The restless surface of the
sea fascinates me. Unable to live by the sea I have found a home above the beautiful lake of Iznajar, which is constantly changing. One day turquoise and another silver.
In recent years I have discovered a love for ceramics and I am exploring
simple organic forms mainly in porcelain.

Lucy Grove-Hemmings
Soy un diseñador/artista multimedia inglés que vive en un pequeño pueblo en las montañas de Andalucía. Siempre he hecho arte pero soy licenciado en Diseño Gráfico, titulado en marketing, fotografía y display y diseño. Antes de dejar el Reino Unido tenía una tienda de interiores y dirigía una empresa de gestión de eventos. Aquí en Andalucía he tenido tiempo de volver al arte y he estado compartiendo el conocimiento creativo, adquirido a lo largo de una carrera variada, con la gente de mis talleres en mi estudio cerca de Priego.
Habiendo podido experimentar con una amplia variedad de materiales, mi propio trabajo está en constante desarrollo, nunca soy más feliz que cuando estoy en el estudio bailando y experimentando. Encuentro que disfruto especialmente trabajando con yeso y pigmentos, creando trabajos abstractos con mucha textura. ¡Hay alegría en hacer arte y todos deberían hacerlo!

I am an English, multi-media designer/artist living in a tiny village in the mountains of Andalucia. I've always made art but I have a degree in Graphic design, qualifications in marketing, photography and display and design. Before leaving the UK I had a interiors shop and ran an event management company. Here in Andalucia I've had time to get back to art and have been sharing the creative knowledge, gained from a varied career, with people at my workshops in my studio near Priego.
Having been able to experiment with a wide variety of materials, my own work is constanly developing, I'm never happier than when I'm in the studio dancing around and experimenting. I find I particularly enjoy working with plaster and pigments, creating highly textural, abstract work. There is joy in making art everyone should do it!

La inspiración actual se deriva de la vida vegetal que me rodea en mi nuevo hogar andaluz. Las exuberantes formaciones de suculentas con su dramática profundidad en un ambiente árido son inspiradoras. Intento aprovechar esta planta tremendamente extravagante para desarrollar cerámicas que sean tan exóticas y exuberantes como ellas. Recientemente me he concentrado en desarrollar la superficie de mi cerámica aplicando diferentes técnicas de vidriado en capas y utilizando múltiples cocciones para crear diseños complejos. Prefiero las piezas construidas a mano porque la arcilla me dice hacia dónde quiere ir. Empiezo con la semilla de una idea y luego trabajo intuitivamente desarrollando la pieza hasta que siento que expresa lo que quiero.
Esta primavera ha visto una gran cantidad de flores silvestres este año que se han abierto camino en mi pintura de varias maneras, aportando un derroche de color. Estoy seguro de que este será un tema continuo en mi trabajo, ya sea sobre lienzo, papel o arcilla.
Current inspiration is derived from the plant life surrounding me in my new Andalusian home. The lush formations of the succulents with their dramatic profundity in an arid environment is inspirational. I try to tap into this riotously extravagant plant to develop ceramics that are as exotic and exuberant as they are. Recently I have concentrated on developing the surface of my ceramics by layering different glazing techniques and using multiple firings to create complex designs. I prefer hand built pieces as the clay tells me where it wants to go. I start with a seed of an idea then work intuitively developing the piece until I feel it is expressing what I want it to.
This spring has seen an abundance of wild flowers this year who have made their way into my painting in various ways bringing a riot of colour. I am sure this will be a continued theme in my work whether on canvas, paper or clay.

Soy un pintor semiabstracto, creo trabajos expresivos oníricos. Mi arte está impulsado por el deseo de expresar mi mundo interior.
Empiezo una pintura de forma experimental y lúdica. Ocurren accidentes fortuitos que a menudo conducen a descubrimientos apasionantes. Trabajo en varias pinturas a la vez, creando capas de color y creando textura superficial. Sumar y restar usando una variedad de herramientas y técnicas para darle a la pintura una sensación de historia y profundidad. Por lo tanto, la pieza se construye durante muchos meses, hasta que la historia de la pintura llega a su fin. Cuando se sienta resuelto.
Tengo suerte de vivir en una parte del mundo tan inspiradora y hermosa donde también enseño arte a otros. Tengo más de 30 años de experiencia creando pinturas y esculturas e impartiendo talleres y me encanta ayudar a otras personas a descubrir el placer de hacer arte.
Creo firmemente que el espectador es tan importante en el proceso como el creador. Verás cosas que yo no veo. Puede que te guste o no. Ambos están bien. El arte es personal.
I am a semi abstract painter, creating dreamlike expressive work. My art is driven by a desire to express my inner world.
I start a painting in an experimental and playful way. Chance accidents happen which often lead to exciting discoveries. I work on several paintings at once, creating layers of colour and building up surface texture. Adding and subtracting using a variety of tools and techniques to give the painting a sense of history and depth. Hence the piece builds up over many months, until the story of the painting has reached an ending. When it feels resolved.
I am lucky to live in such an inspiring and beautiful part of the world where I also I teach art to others. I have over 30 years of experience of creating paintings and sculptures and teaching workshops and love to help other people discover the joy of making art.
I strongly believe that the viewer is as important in the process as the creator. You will see things I don’t. You may or may not love it. Both are fine. Art is personal.

Jan Katuin
(1950) es un fotógrafo holandés que vive y trabaja en Andalucía desde 2007. Verás Andalucía a través de los ojos de un extranjero con un gran amor por los andaluces, las ciudades, los paisajes variados y los paisajes impresionantes. Le encanta la luz del Mediterráneo y esto se refleja en una parte importante de su obra.
(1950) is a Dutch photographer who has lived and worked in Andalusia since 2007. You will see Andalusia through the eyes of a foreigner with a great love for Andalusians, cities, varied scenery and breathtaking landscapes. He loves Mediterranean light and this is reflected and an important part of his work. ​

After an impressive holiday in southern Morocco, the images in the photos continued to fascinate me. So much so, that I wanted to do something extra with them. A photo is a representation of a reality that you can't change without AI or a photo program. I´ve never done that, nor do I have a desire to do so. Instead, I have now chosen to create a new story with fragments from my photos in an abstract painted background.

It was difficult for me to damage the photos by painting them but, as a result, completely new compositions have been created and this way of working gives me a freedom that I cannot find in photography. With collages and painting, I can give a different dimension to the atmosphere of the landscape, the houses and the people and the fantastic colors of Morocco in a personal way. Photography remains a very important part of my work. Painting is a new addition.

Kisco Aroca
Kisco Aroca es del sol del sur, de Andalucía, De Rute. Un pueblo junto al lago de Iznajar. Desde siempre es amante de las artes plásticas, pero es durante la pandemia cuando se profesionaliza y hace una apuesta seria por el mundo de la pintura.
A partes iguales comparte el trabajo en los medios de comunicación locales con la creación de obras que transportan al observador al mundo interior del artista. El sol, la luz, el paisaje y su gente optimista se ven reflejados en sus creaciones llenas de color y movimiento cargadas de significado.
Pese a su corta carrera profesional, junto a su galería de Marbella (Málaga), en tan poco tiempo ha expuesto en lugares como Marbella, Jerez, Barcelona, Bruselas, París o Mónaco.
Kisco Aroca is from sunny Andalusia, a town called Rute, next to Lake Iznajar. He has always been a lover of the fine arts, but it was during the pandemic that he became professional and made a serious commitment to the world of painting.
He shares his work in different media, creating art that transport the observer to the artist's inner world. The sun, the light, the landscape and its optimistic people are reflected in his creations full of color and movement and filled with meaning.

Antonio Flores
Mi vocación artística es heredada de mi padre y abuelo y posteriormente seguí mi formación adquiriendo la licenciatura en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Sevilla en la especialidad de escultura.
He trabajado varios materiales, tradicionales y modernos para así fusionar mi inspiración y darle forma y alma a mis piezas.
También trabaje como restaurador en la majestuosa Plaza de España, con motivo de la exposición del 1929, en Sevilla donde tuve la suerte de restaurar y reponer piezas de los mejores Ceramistas de Triana.
Más tarde ingresé como trabajador en la fábrica de Loza Pickman La Cartuja de Sevilla en el estudio de diseño.
Por último, en 2015 mi vida matrimonial me trajo a vivir al mágico pueblo de Iznájar, donde alterno varios trabajos y uno de ellos mi pasión por el arte, la pintura y escultura junto a mi esposa Victoria, también Artista, y nuestro hijo Mateo que con solo dos años ya apunta sus dotes artísticas.
My artistic vocation is inherited from my father and grandfather and later I continued my training acquiring a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville specializing in sculpture.
I have worked with various materials, traditional and modern, to fuse my inspiration and give form and soul to my pieces.
I also worked as a restorer in the majestic Plaza de España, on the occasion of the 1929 exhibition in Seville, where I was lucky enough to restore and replace pieces by the best Ceramists of Triana.
Later I started working at the Pickman La Cartuja pottery factory in Seville in the design studio.
Finally, in 2015 my married life brought me to live in the magical town of Iznájar, where I alternate several jobs and one of them is my passion for art, painting and sculpture with my wife Victoria, also an artist, and our son Mateo who, at just two years old, is already showing his artistic side.

Mariola San
Mariola es una artista plástica de Encinas Reales, que se especializa en el retrato utilizando técnicas secas y en paisajes urbanos con técnicas mixtas. Siempre en búsqueda de innovación, investiga y experimenta con diferentes materiales y técnicas, incluyendo murales y belly painting.
Recientemente, Mariola ha desarrollado una fascinación por la acuarela, lo que la llevó a ser seleccionada en 2024 para participar en el II Festival Internacional de Acuarela. Actualmente, practica la pintura rápida al aire libre en diversas localidades para mejorar su habilidad, habiendo recibido varios premios por su destreza.
Durante mucho tiempo, el retrato fue su principal enfoque, hasta que descubrió el arte urbano y la pintura al aire libre, especialmente los paisajes rurales. Después de experimentar con varias técnicas, ha encontrado en la acuarela su verdadera pasión. Para Mariola, pintar es una forma de meditación, una manera de conocerse a sí misma. Mariola is a visual artist from Encinas Reales, who specializes in portraits using dry techniques and in urban landscapes with mixed techniques. Always in search of innovation, she researches and experiments with different materials, including murals and belly painting.
Recently, Mariola has developed a fascination with watercolour, which led her to be selected in 2024 to participate in the II International Watercolor Festival. Currently, she practices quick painting outdoors in various locations to improve her skill, having received several awards.
For a long time, portraits were her main focus, until she discovered urban art and outdoor painting, especially rural landscapes. After experimenting with various techniques, she has found her true passion in water colours. For Mariola, painting is a form of meditation, a way to get to know herself. She considers painting an intimate conversation that allows her to express her internal debate and experience a new form of freedom.
