Sue Frank
Ceramicist

Nature, from the colours and textures of soil and rocks, to the mathematical perfection of Fibonacci spirals, and everything in between, is Sue’s muse. Living in a stunning landscape gives her inspiration for creating ceramics, which don’t attempt to mimic nature but to take on the essence and spirit of what she sees
around her.
Sue comes from a family of creatives; painters, writers, poets and songwriters. In the past, writing children’s books was her creative outlet. Her chosen medium now is clay rather than a pen. She started on this path in the late 1980s when she first attended evening classes at a local school, and then at a ceramics studio close to her home. Since moving to this area, she has continued her ceramics journey at Cerámica el Jarál.
