Lucy is a British multimedia artist and designer based in Andalucía, Spain. With a background in visual communications, interior design and event production, her multidisciplinary practice is rooted in a deep understanding of composition, materiality and spatial awareness. Working predominantly with plaster, pigment, paint, textiles and earth-derived materials, she creates visceral, deeply personal abstract works that transform lived experience into richly textured surfaces.
Each painting is an instinctive response to lived experience; a visceral translation of emotions that cannot always be expressed in words. Lucy allows each work to unfold intuitively, guided by the physicality of her materials rather than a predetermined outcome. Plaster, pigment and textiles are layered, broken and revealed, creating surfaces that hold memory, vulnerability, resilience and transformation. Texture is never decorative; it is the language through which feeling is expressed.
Her most recent body of work reflects a profound journey of losing and reclaiming herself. Created over the past year, these paintings speak to silence, invisibility, survival and, ultimately, peace. They do not seek to illustrate a story, but to communicate the raw emotional weight of it. She invites viewers to connect with their own experiences of loss, healing and release.
